At Don’t Leave Them Behind, we are committed to shining a light on the real challenges facing vulnerable people across Ireland — and today, we are proud to support the vital work of the “Before We Die” campaign.
This family-led initiative is confronting one of the most urgent and overlooked issues in our society: the housing crisis facing people with intellectual disabilities. Behind every statistic is a family asking a deeply human question — what happens when we are no longer here?
“Before We Die” is campaigning to ensure that every person has access to a safe, suitable, and supported home within their own community — not as a future ambition, but as a present necessity.
We will actively support this campaign by helping to amplify their message, share their research, and drive engagement across our growing platform. Their current survey is a crucial step in building a clear, evidence-based picture of housing needs — and we strongly encourage families to take part.
