I have been a TD since 2020 and I have been deeply struck by the lack of services and the pace of delivery for children with autism , although there has been considerable progress there is clearly more to do and significantly more to do on the provision of therapeutic services .
We have 5 Minister with Disability in their Job descriptions yet this Government have decided to ignore carers and people with disabilities when awarding a COVID 19 bonus .Carers and people with disabilities abandoned by Government throughout the COVID pandemic worked 24/7 -365 days a year without a break yet this cruel Government offer them a Bank Holiday which the can’t take.
People with disabilities are to suffer yet again during this Pandemic with key specialists to continue to be re-deployed by the HSE and work on the National Vaccine Roll-Out plan as the HSE struggle to find that 1000s of staff required to meet the logistical and supply chain requirements .

Al Fresco dining has the potential to bring our streets to life however lack of consideration for people with disabilities are creating significant challenges with the removal of footpath spaces driving many into dangerous life threatening situations .Guidline are urgent required to prevent that potential damage that will take place.
